Of all the gadget & technology, mobile is the well versed & well utilized device after computers. Oh this pimple!!

When we imagine our  face, we always wish it to be attractive, clear, fresh, smooth & auspicious be it with any gender. Ever thought why?? 

Let me brief out my idea by a quote...

"A fresh, clear face catches the eye; empower the energy within oneself & brings in the hidden confidence."

But when we want to cherish this idea; like any road blockers, a 'face' too gets stumbled upon from dusts to pollution, hormonal imbalance to dietary constraints & all those known factors which we can think of causing damage to the skin. And to the utmost level, the primary cause to any face damage is by a pimple.

Pimple; an acne, spot, zip call it whatever you want, we would have encountered once in our life span; & especially when we were in our teens.

My first encounter! -  To talk about my war with Pimples, it all started when I was at my VIII. 

It was the beginning of my first menstrual cycle. With stomach aches, constipation, uneasiness, I had to welcome 'Pimple' too, which was emerging all over my face. To make matter worse, the visible spot made few old ladies talk as, "Oh the cute girl is all set to be a Lady!!!". To my relief, It was also the time wherein few of my besties too was going through the same state. Most of our free time was all about 'pimple & it's vanquishing techniques'. Of all the hazard I thank god till date, as I have a dry pimple condition as few of my friends have that oozing white liquid puffed pimple which is pathetic to watch.

Myth? I am utterly disgusted to share this thought, but I used to feel very relaxed & happy when I prick a pimple. There were also a myth which made me comfort that, "When we prick and remove it, It disappears quickly".

Really!! One good observation about my pimple was that it was having a scheduled presence. It used to appear 2-4 day before my cycle starts. I called them as "my warning signals" or "my indicators".

Engulfed suggestions -

When we are in trouble, we tend to seek advice. Some of them which I cherished are

1. "Avoid oily & spicy foods"
2. "Drink plenty of water" 
3. "Eat Vegetables & Fruits" 
4. "Sweat a lot" 

Homemade remedies -

Considering the fact, cosmetics was a big 'NO' at my house, Homemade remedies were the only means through which I used to pamper myself. Few of them listed below.

1. Skin of milk 
2. Turmeric powder mixed with a drop of water
3. Skin of Orange
4. Cucumber pieces

Going back to those days, I recall 'Neem leaves' placed in our hot water buckets during bath. This too, have added as a helping hand to get rid of my pimples & its mark. Now we can see its presence in cosmetic, one of them is the famous 'Garnier Pure Active Neem Face Wash'.

Dandruff & Pimple! Now its been 15 years since my teen life. Over the time these warning signals have been fading off. But it still makes its presence now or then. Additional reason has emerged for its existence, i.e. 'dandruff', another villain in this 'beauty' world. Dandruff control does do the trick, but it's still a pimple and is tough not to be seen. :-)

Garnier Face Wash

To be truthful, I have not been an ideal user of any cosmetic products. But from the time I have set my foot out from my house I have given a try.

One of them is the Garnier Face Wash, Neem. I declare myself of using them at irregular intervals and hence my experience may only add up to other's review. 

"When we commute on public transport; we invade dust, pollution from traffic & sweats due to crowded buses. When I reach home with all that hazel, my face turns dull and urges for pampering. At the end, pimple is something unavoidable, especially during your adolescence. Home remedies & cosmetics can reduce it up-to 99% of your problem, but that 1% is all which highlights you & your confidence level. Panicking can make a pimple the ruler of our face. Hence let that 1% pimple spend their life while you ignore. In the course, it will get tired and leave your face with/without any hospitality.

India has now turned to gadgets for easy and comfortable life. When we talk about gadgets we can't forget the companies which influence it. Yes I can relate such incidents and I believe others have also experienced such situation. This Eeebook avoids that by giving up to 12 hrs of battery life, a whole day and too with great performance. How awesome is that!!!
• Microsoft office: Long back, this was never the issue. Now when the  online market is building up, I think everyone wants to try out the treasure. And, so once the Free Microsoft office now comes with a money tag and especially if you buy a new laptop and find one month subscription only, it will make your heart hurt especially if you are working professional. This is an added advantage and that too at such a good reasonable price for the laptop itself i.e., 15K

Okay I liked Eeebook then why PC you ask!!!

• During my childhood, PC came in to exist in Indian classrooms. From class 8th, in my school Computer class was just in the beginning stage, still emerging. And, once myself and my brother got well versed in controlling the so-called PC, we started demanding to get a computer at home. Hence, I believe it creates a sense of family even though now I prefer Laptop over PC.
• I would love to gift it to my parents. I liked the two feature which made me think so 'Portable' & 'Big Screen'. This is what my age old parents would love too.
• Once I have a family too, I would prefer it as along with ease it also has modern touch to it like handmade gesture technology, incredible response & space saving. Going on the speed of modern days, space can be a constraint and this PC helps me resolve it.

Bolder the better!

February is on its way; every teenager and singles in the block would be waiting for Feb 14 on their tip toes. 

Don't take me wrong;  I am saying so is because for us (couples or married ), each day can be a V day, right guys!! ;-)

Anyway; I am married now, passed all those stages, but if you take me to my past, I would remember Feb 14, crush & Proposals by the scene of 'Dil Toh Pagal Hai'.

Why so early Feb 14 celebration you ask, that's because Close Up ( http://cupidgames.closeup.in/) with Indiblogger has come up with a new topic i.e., "If we had to propose to our crush on Valentine's Day how would that be?" and that too 'The bolder the better!' 

The best way to present it is by a Story so here goes.

2 Day before V Day 2005

Monika was not so cheerful today. Last night she overheard her parents discussed about her marriage. She always dreamed of getting married only once she had fallen in love, a filmy way to be precise. But her parents never understood, they said, "Life is not a movie, it's not scripted. We need to go with it."

She was on her way to college when her mobile rang. It was her mom.

Mom spoke, "Hey Moni , can you come home early. We have got a very good proposal for you and they want to see you today @ 5 clock. Can you skip some classes and come soon?"
Monika replied,"Mom, not again"
When her mom started speaking again, she kept the phone away from her ears pretending as if listening, but not.
Once her mom was done talking, she replied; "Fine, whatever. I will be there by 3.30 tops".

Five clock @ home

Monika just switched off her brain and went with the blank mindset with a tray of goodies & juices for the guest.

She entered the hall with her head down and went towards seating area. When she was about to lift her head, a kitten crossed her leg. She tripped & fell down. All juices and goodies had spread throughout the guest hall.

She heard her dad yelling at the house kitten when suddenly she was lifted by a handsome man. "Are you alright? Aunty, I think you need to take her to the room. She looked shocked"
Monika unaware about the words popping up from her mouth replied, "No, no m alright. I will stay." He questioned her again joined by his mom (Monika then guessed) , "Are you sure, Moni beta. It's okay, we can wait or we can come tomorrow."
She replied, "No Aunty, M fine. M not hurt".

Monika couldn't take her eyes from him. It was 'love' at first site. She started blaming herself on not hearing what her mom was telling over the phone. "What can be his name?" was all she was thinking throughout the meeting hours.

Then she saw that they were about to leave. She was stunned, "I did not get a chance to talk" was all she taught.

The Boy's mom spoke, "Moni Beta, today has been more drama for you. Take plenty of rest now, Let us meet some other time. Anyway, Rahul has seen you and you can start talking over the phone and meet if needed. We just wanted to introduce you two. Later it's up to you to decide."

Rahul...was all she heard.


Day before V Day 2005

It has been only day she started talking to Rahul over the phone, she had fallen in love with him. As all girls, she had dreamed to be proposed by a boy on a V day, but she couldn't  loss Rahul just because of a dream. "It's been only a day and I can't expect Rahul to make the 1st move. So, I will express my feeling towards him. Be whatever the output" She thought.

She came to know that Rahul was her neighbour 'Rena' aunties cousin. She talked to her about her feeling. Rena was very excited and decided to help Monika.

V Day 2005

Monika had called Rahul and had said that she is planning to skip her classes today and she was free to meet. They had decided to meet at an old theater. Rahul was astonished first and then agreed to Monika's request.

Rahul got ready, told his mom about the 'meet' and went towards his car.

Rahul was in for a shock when he saw his car. It was decorated with flowers, perfumed inside & a driver standing next to the car. Driver said that he was appointed by Monika and that he would be taking him to his destination.

He, with much reluctant, went inside the car. Car was decorated, with gift box, cards & music CD. Driver drove him to the old theater. The Theater board read as 'Welcome My Prince'. He met Monika on the entrance. Monika was looking stunning in a red gown.

When he was about to ask her, she said, "Please don't ask me anything now. Come inside, I have more surprise for you". Rahul was crazy about Football team, 'Chelsea', and the whole theater was filled with Photo's and Music of it. The Stage had a projector. Monika directed to a seat were they sat.

Once they sat, the whole theater lights was switched off and a movie/photo screen started playing in the projector. It was Rahul's Childhood to present story; about the events he liked, his achievements, his fun activity & so on.

At the end it wrote, "Guess I missed almost 28 years of you wonderful life. But I want to be part for the rest of your life. Will you let me in? Will you marry me?".

When lights were switched ON, he saw she was not at her seat, but was kneeling in the dais holding an electronic board which read, "Please say Yes".

V Day 2015

Monika & Rahul are happily Married with 2 kids. He always reminds her that, "I am the luckiest man in the whole world, as I was proposed by a woman, much more reverse compare to classical means, and that too in such elegant manner to which every woman dies for"

Heathy Diet & Dabur Chyawanprash

25 years back,

This is a story of Sunita & Suresh; a very happy couple who had a 2 beautiful & cute kids - Sanketh & Sakshi. Sanketh was 7 years than & Sakshi 5 years.

It was one of the tens day. They had come to hospital to visit their family doctor. It has been a hurdle from past 1 week, visiting doctor every day as both were suffering from high fever, cough & cold. Doctor had suspected onset of Tuberculosis and had given lots of tablets too.They were scared. "What if something happens to them? They are in their growing period of their life and this can result in hampering their precious life". Even few hard core statements of doctor has made them think whether they were irresponsible parents. Doctor the other day in hard voice had said, "You need to think about the food, what you give to your kids? Life now has been very difficult with new disease arising now or then and kids are the 1st who are the victim. Giving Panipuri, that too so frequently, is such a bad move as a parent. Do you know on what type of water they prepare? As a parent, you need to be caution. You need to increase their immunity not decrease"

Their appointment was next. Doctor has also asked to do some test whose results will be out today. So it was like a deciding day for them. When they entered doctor clinic, Dr. Aravind, their family doctor was cool & all smiles. Both of them were relieved & astonished. Doctor said, "Don't worry. It's not TB, just a normal flu. But you need to take care both of them, very carefully. You can continue the same tablet, & in a week all symptoms will be reduced. But as its they're growing period they need good immunity and a lot of healthy food. Please do take care"

Sunita called her parents and said about what her doctor had conveyed, once they were out of the clinic. She also asked her mother to come & help her, take care. Sunita's mother agreed 

In a week both Sanketh & Sakshi, were able to do their normal activity, but still Sunita was worried about what her doctor has said. She asked her mom, yes we are giving advocate good food, all leafy vegetables & fruits, but will this be enough. Her mom taught for a moment and asked Sunita, "Why can't you try Chyawanprash. It's an age old formula to boost immunity. And, also don't stop giving it. Continue throughout the childhood"

Sunita then tried for 2 months and saw a remarkable increase in children's health. They were very strong and had good stamina, even during their school sports day.

Present day,

Sakshi now had a 5 year old boy Samrat, who was very naughty; Eating all out and never listening to their parents. Sunita had come to visit her. Sakshi was residing an incident to Sunita were Samrat was demanding to eat some chat/outside food; and made a huge fuss when he didn't get it. 

That instance made Sunita think about the time they had that high fever. She said to Sakshi

"Some time, You can give him what he wants, but as it is the growing period, you need to make sure that he don't get diseases. I remember the time when you two had fever. The whole house went mourning and both of us were tensed that this might be our irresponsible duty as parents. But if we don't listen to kids, we tend to become their enemy. So try giving "Chyawanprash" to boost their immunity. This will prevent them from getting disease. And, also it can help even during his adulthood."

It's "SHORT AND" #USEYOURAND

In this world of Homo Sapiens, like all other species, we have 2 primary genders  defined  as Men & Women. 

From ages, there lies difference in these gender claiming Men to be powerful. Yes of-course, when compared to the physical structure as nature's gift, Male is always termed to be physically powerful in any species. But does that define "Females are weak??"
Simple answer- "Giving birth is not termed as weak"; on the contrary, I believe it might mean to be more powerful compare to the physical stature of Men.
Hence like Men, we Women also can't be defined as a single identity.

If a man can be a Father AND Husband AND CEO AND Helpful Buddy, women should not be restricted to Mother OR Wife OR Blogger OR Software Engineer.

My Identity -

I am a woman, a female form of Homo Sapiens. I am a Wife AND Blogger AND Software Engineer AND Dancer AND Artist AND Poet AND Supportive Friend AND many more. I can't be limited by just a single label...

 & the Journey...

Through my Childhood to a teenager, I was termed as "SHORT". My Height is 4.10. Parents suggested pull ups to get rid of the tag.  As I was still searching my way, I started  wondering whether Height is what defines someone. 

Then when stepped into High School, I was a good dancer. I had been studying Bharatanatyam from my class 1.  My Bharatanatyam Sir always appreciated my dance and stamina compared to other students. I became SHORT AND DANCER

Through my Schools & college, I learnt to Paint. As Mom was Painter, Painting was in blood. I tried my hand in Sketches, Oil Paintings, Watercolors; everything went to touch a golden stand. I became SHORT AND DANCER AND PAINTER

When I went to Engineering for my higher studies, I stood First in Class. My HOD called me as the most active, courageous student of the class & my friends as Kutti, Talkative Topper. I became SHORT AND TOPPER AND TALKATIVE AND ACTIVE  AND DANCER AND PAINTER.

Through Campus, got into a reputed Software Company. I became SOFTWARE ENGINEER AND the rest followed. Each project I entered, I shined with different roles from TESTER to TEST LEAD to LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT SPOC  to HUMAN RESOURCE SPOC, which can be combined only with an 'AND'.

Then on my free time, I started writing Poems & Blogs; which entered a new world which engulfed much more freedom to express and showcase my talent within me. I am still persisting the tag of being POET & BLOGGER by my brothers-in-law, friends & Colleagues.

When I was ready to be 'married', I faced difficulties with people rejecting by defining as she is so SHORT, but only my dear husband chosen me as CUTE AND PRETTY AND SEXY AND SHORT. I thank god to others who rejected me for not understanding the "AND" because I received the best husband in the world.

I learnt to cook just before marriage & now I give shocks to my mom, by correcting her, for now I have become a COOK

2 years back, I have purchased a DSLR, but still learning some new tricks. Hopefully to call myself a FUTURE PHOTOGRAPHER.

I am sure to find a new 'AND' as I am a GEMINI by birth date and as defined GEMINI never want to constrain by one activity, they express themselves to be in many form. I would take up this positive vibes from GEMINI and redefine myself with being FUTURE MOM & TRAVELER & PHOTOGRAPHER & NOVELIST & SOON. 

Now tell me, Why not an 'AND'??

"Talent packed" an expression from  my friend makes me so proud which further determines that I am bound to play so many character. And why not, isn't it what makes our life so beautiful?

I know I will showcase myself as I don't want to restrict myself being just in one role as "I am WOMEN", who does so many 'AND' roles and never demands visibility for it. But Lets not be invisible, Let us OUTBURST. In future, when I have my own  daughter, she should get the revised statement as "Women are more powerful than men". 

Journey from an INNOCENT student to an OUTSPOKEN engineer, I want to be described, "Prathima, not defined by just a 'SHORT', but more than that she is with an 'AND'; multitasking lady with multitude things running around her"
